ALICE MONGER-GODFREY

Founder, Osteopath & Acupuncturist

 

Osteopath and former professional athlete, Alice Monger Godfrey, founded AMG Osteo Clinics in 2013. As a graduate of the prestigious British School of Osteopathy Alice holds a Masters degree in Osteopathy and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. Alice’s interests lie in cranial-sacral therapy, visceral therapy and obstetrics and gynaecology. She also has extensive experience of treating babies and children. 

 

Alice has represented Great Britain in road and track cycling and was previously a county-level swimmer. Her sporting background gives her a unique and in-depth perspective on treating musculoskeletal pain and associated disorders.

 

Using an holistic approach to Osteopathy, Alice is able to meet the needs of both athletes and those experiencing pain in everyday life. She specialises in injury treatment and prevention, postural analysis, maintenance and rehabilitation.

 

Alice continues to work with professional sportsmen and women, including Olympic and World Champions. She was recently asked to start working with World Tour cycling team DiData, whose team members include the sprinter and former World Road Race champion Mark Cavendish.

REY MORENO

Osteopath

 

Rey moved to London from Cuba in 2005, it was at this time that he discovered the art of Osteopathy and decided to pursue a career in Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a Masters degree at the prestiguous British School of Osteopathy and furthers his professional development attending courses on Classical Osteopathy, postural re-education, and rehabilitation.

 

Rey has first-hand experience of a wide range of sports. He was a Greco-Roman wrestling champion by the age of 11 and has since practised many other contact sports, maintaining a keen interest in martial arts. Nowadays Rey is a keen triathlete and spends most of his free time running, swimming or cycling.

 

His past professions have included being a personal trainer, an aerobics instructor and a dance teacher and it is this variety of activity which allows Rey to best advise his patients in his career as an osteopath.

 

Rey's passion for his work comes from his determination to clear patients of pain and dysfunction, improving, their health and helping them lead a healthier and more confident life as a result of his treatment.

 
 

ADELE SMYTH

Sports Massage Therapist & Pilates Instructor

 

Adele has worked within the health and fitness industry for the pasyt 20 years and has been a children's nurse for 16 years. There is not a sport that she has not been involved in since a very young age, competing in everything from ballet and gymnastics to hockey and netball. Adele qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist with Sports Therapy UK 20 years ago and completed the Advanced Practitioner Sports Therapy diploma.

 

Over the last 5 years Adele has been competing in triathlons and various other races and most recently completed the 70.3 Vitruvian Triathlon in August 2014.  She continues to take part in various activities and later this year aims to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the 4th time in aid of MacMillan Cancer support.

 

Her first hand experience of such sports has given her vital insight into the needs of her clients and has greatly aided her career as a practioner. She has and continues to work as part of the therapy team for the London-Paris cycle event with HotChillee and the Grand Reunion ride. 

 

By combining Pilates, Personal Training and/or group Pilates classes with Sports Massage therapy, Adele brings something very unique to AMG Osteo CLinics providing an overall mind and body balance as the disciplines and therapy complement one another greatly.
